Application submitted for a new music venue in York City Centre.

The new 500 capacity venue will be operated by Jimmy’s who have other successful venues in Manchester, Liverpool & York.

Vincent & Brown have revised previous proposals for the site, reducing the scale and refining the roofline and design following comments from key stakeholders.

The scheme has been designed to sit comfortably within the historic architectural style of the street whilst maintaining a contemporary language. A large, landscaped roof is proposed to the rear which improves the setting of the Grade I listed Micklegate house.

The proposals have been carefully sculpted to the reduce impact on neighbouring properties with a concertinaed façade that has been designed to maintain views within the site.

Vincent & Brown are delighted to be involved in this new cultural offering for the city and hope to receive a decision spring 2022.
