Contractor Appointed on Independence House

In December 2019 The Vincent & Brown team secured planning consent for client London Ebor Developments PLC to extend and refurbish their office block located on Millfield Lane, Nether Poppleton, York.

Following a tender process we are delighted to announce that York based constructors GEM Construction have been appointed and bring to the table 20 years' experience working on high quality projects. It's the first time V&B and GEM have collaborated and we look forward to working alongside an award winning local construction company.

The end product will give 14 office units, 4 meeting rooms and a catering unit. The COVID-19 Pandemic throws doubt over the suitability of open plan offices so the plans aim to future proof the building.
