Planning approval granted for a new apartment block in Bridlington, North Yorkshire

Vincent & Brown’s proposals for the construction of a new 4-storey block with 19 apartments was awarded planning permission in November 2020.

The prominent site on the corner of Flamborough Road and Sands Lane, currently home to The Ransdale Hotel. Located minutes from Bridlington’s famous North Beach, the new development will incorporate 1, 2 and 3-bedroom modern apartments with 17 underground parking bays for residents and visitors.

The sensitive design will reflect the Victorian heritage of the area, drawing inspiration from the gabled terraces, bay windows and pointed turrets of neighbouring properties. The new red-brick and part-rendered apartment block will incorporate glass balustrades and outdoor terraces and feature a series of pitched roofs, a modern-day interpretation of the architecture of the streetscape.

The spacious apartments will deliver contemporary living spaces and incorporate open-plan living areas with light flooding in through floor-to-ceiling height windows.
