Planning Success on The Crescent
Vincent & Brown have achieved planning consent for a new Grade A office development on the site of a former Malthouse on The Crescent, York.
Approved at committee, subject to the Section 106 agreement, the scheme was praised for generating 300 new jobs and significant investment into the City.
Vincent & Brown have worked closely with council officers to develop a design that repurposed the existing façade and reflect the industrial heritage of the city. To the rear of the site a newly defined roof evokes the memory of the former kiln chimney.
The office accommodation has been carefully designed to meet changing workplace trends, embracing more naturally regulated office environments as well as introducing a 3-storey living wall. Considerations have been made to a create a flexible layout, designed specifically for effective collaboration.
Well done to everyone who has worked on this development, we are looking to progressing with the scheme.
