Revised proposals submitted for Grade A office.
Following the initial consultation process, amendments have been made to the proposed office development at 9 The Crescent, York.
The scheme, located on the fringe of the proposed York Central Station redevelopment, presents an ideal opportunity for much needed Grade A office accommodation within the City Centre, inline with York’s post Covid economic recovery.
The amendments include an alternative design direction which drastically changes the scale and appearance of the development to reflect the railway character area, whilst reducing the impact on the surrounding neighbours.
The proposals partially preserve the front façade of the former malthouse, identified as a historical asset within the city, and a newly defined roof evokes the memory of the former kiln chimney.
Vincent & Brown and client Crescent Developments expect to receive a planning decision in the later part of 2021.
