Team Site Visit

We recently enjoyed a team visit to our project on site in the Fulford Road Conservation area, York.

Situated next to the Grade II listed Ousefield, phase 1 of the project consists of 3 impressive new build homes.

The proposed new build properties have been designed to respond to the sensitive nature of the site, respecting the existing mature trees and the prominence of Ousefield. The details also take reference from the surrounding conservation area.

The dynamic massing and contemporary appearance ensure the houses are architecturally distinctive within the setting. Equally, the use of high-quality materials and focus on external spaces provides a solution which compliments the qualities of Ousefield, the neighboring house.

The selection and design of the brickwork and detailing assists in visually referencing Ousefield. Timber cladding and bespoke timber fins soften elements of the properties, whilst adding architectural interest and solar shading. Zinc cladding matches the tone of traditional slate but provides a contemporary look.

High levels of insulation, Air source heat pumps, Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery, and Electric Vehicle charging points all contribute to the excellent sustainability credentials of these beautiful new homes.

It was great to see Mulgrave properties doing a fantastic job and taking such care and attention with the external and internal details. Keep an eye on their website below for upcoming marketing information:
