V&B proud sponsors of CACC
Vincent & Brown are delighted to announce the proud sponsorship of the Clifton Alliance Cricket Club on Shipton Road in York.
Nestled next to the River Ouse as it flows north of York, Clifton Alliance CC is a cricket club for people who love playing or watching cricket at all levels of the club game. Its first team play in the ECB Yorkshire Premier League North - the highest level of amateur cricket in England - while its second, third and fourth teams play in local leagues, offering a competitive game for cricketers of all standards. The club also has a strong junior section (Under 9s to Under 15s) where it fields the most teams of any cricket club in North Yorkshire and has a proud record of developing talented players for its senior teams from its junior ranks. CACC is now well known as a friendly and welcoming club that plays an active part in the local community with almost 400 players.
Like most clubs they rely heavily of volunteers, fund raising and sponsors and for the next 3 years Vincent & Brown have gone all out in supporting this great club which will be nicknamed The Vincent & Brown Alliance Cricket Club. The funds generated from sponsorship go towards coaching costs, purchasing equipment and maintaining facilities.
In addition to this the club have been significantly upgrading pitches and playing facilities with the aim of providing better sporting and social facilities for players, spectators, children and adults in the local area. And as sponsors Vincent & Brown designed & secured the planning permission to erect a two storey building to the West side of the club that includes two changing rooms, adjacent shower rooms, an accessible toilet, a garage area, and a scorebox. The ambitious plans are currently underway by co-sponsors & local builders GEM Construction
Chairman David Heartshorne said, “I couldn’t be more delighted to have Vincent & Brown as a major partner of Clifton Alliance CC. As a North Yorkshire cricket club competing at the top level of the club game we are committed to working at the highest standards both locally and nationally, and I can see the same ambition and passion for excellence at Vincent & Brown."
The club aims to reopen 19th April following the COVID lockdown and puts out a warm welcome to spectators and players alike. For more information about CACC click here
