This scheme looked to deliver a small scale residential development consisting of two new build dwellings located in Alne, York.
Vincent & Partners were appointed to explore the potential of development of a sensitive green field site adjacent to St Mary's Church in Alne, York.
Following extensive conversations with the local planning department a suitable approach was formed to deal with the massing of the two units, stepping from a two storey dwelling facing the main road, down to a one and a half storey dwelling within the site to minimise the impact on the adjacent church, it was also agreed to retain a wild flower meadow margin between the new development and the church in order to further protect the setting of the historic ecclesiastical site.
The development has been designed to blend into its rural setting whilst providing modern family homes.
The Vincent & Partners team successfully secured planning consent and prepared comprehensive construction information for the site, including coordinating all external consultants and contractors to deliver the final products for open market sales.
