Ousefield House
Our client came to us with ideas for the repair, alteration and extension to Ousefield House to make it a family home.
Ousefield House was formally owned by the Ministry of Defense and operated as part of the nearby Imphal Barracks, functioning most recently as an officers mess building.
Vincent & Partners recently achieved a planning approval for a separate client to demolish the existing 1970's military mess extension and to reinstate the existing grade II listed house built in 1899 as a single private dwelling along with the development of the wider site to provide 4 new build properties.
Our clients were interested in Ousefield House itself and employed V&P to explore possibilities for the design & layout, including an extension to the rear.
Plans were drawn to repair & extend the existing fabric, with an orangery style dining area linking the old & new. The main space is is proposed as a large, open plan living & kitchen area, with the current boiler house providing a home gym.
