In close collaboration with client Inglehurst Property, Vincent & Partners put forward proposals to develop a small plot, formally occupied by the outbuildings of an adjacent property. The compact site and close proximity to neighbouring houses presented many challenges, including restricted access.

Optimising the building’s footprint and meticulously designing the internal layout, the scheme delivers a contemporary 3-bedroom new home with rear garden and off-street parking for 2 cars. Externally the red-brick façade reflects the character of the village and the new home nestles unobtrusively between two older properties.

Internally, the large open-plan kitchen/dining area at the rear of the house is light and airy with views of the garden, accessed through glazed bi-fold doors. The hi-gloss cabinets and muted palette give a modern edge to this compact and bijou property. To the first floor there are two generous bedrooms with family bathroom and study/bedroom 4. And to the third floor, a generous en-suite master bedroom with Velux roof lights complete the meticulously executed modern, family home.The Vincent & Partners team successfully gained planning permission and oversaw the project from RIBA stages 1 – 6. The team coordinated external consultants and contractors to deliver the final product for sale on the open market.
